06/05/04 - Message from TAS President - coming soon in your TAS Members Bulletin #2:

The last board meeting (June 4th)had a full agenda with many necessary business & improvements to be made to the club. Most notably was the creation of an official TAS forum http://www.theangelfishsociety.org/members/forums/tas/index.php and creation of a presentation committee that will organize presentations for scheduled Members Meetings. It was formed with the intent to provide educational and information presentations for all scheduled meetings for members in keeping with the organization's mission statement. The presentations will also be archived on the TAS website. The importance of providing the presentations as a members benefit encompasses the focus and purpose and interests of the majority of all of the currently existing standing committees. This committee will also network with other organizations to develop additional resources and enhance the variety of presentations available.

A Members Agreement has been created:  http://theangelfishsociety.org/members/membersagreement.htm

and a Forum registration agreement: http://www.theangelfishsociety.org/members/forums/tas/index.php?action=register

04/28/04: Topic: Fintastic - issue 8 (TAS newsletter):
Call for articles...share your dream tank ideas, passion for the hobby! It's that time to prepare for our Fintastic Newsletter issue #8. We would like to invite all TAS members to send us any of your write-ups, inspiration, frustration, pictures or articles of anything angelfish-related. Any suggestions, questions or comments are welcome.

We have received some good suggestions and we welcome any short article about:

1. "How you got started in the hobby" or How did you get to be an "angelholic"?
This would be a good opportunity to continue the "Angelholic Corner" started in Fintastic issue 6.

2. Planted/community tanks: send me pictures of your planted or favorite tanks. Appreciate if you can give the names of the plants, fish and short descriptions on the substrate, CO2 injection (if available), fertilizer, decors and other pertinent info.
send pics/info to my other email: ngonzaga@rci.rutgers.edu

This would really make the next issue very colo
rful

Please email all submissions by May 15, 2004 to:
TAS_Newsletter_Committee@yahoogroups.com

If you have anything to sell or trade for our  "Trading Goodies" section, submit it at the above email address. All submissions may not make it depending on space. First come, first serve.

I look forward to another color-full and very informative newsletter.

Let us know if you find the new menu changes to be helpful or if you have suggestions for improvement or new content you'd like to see.

Committees, please review your content and send any updates to the TAS Web Team.
