I have about 20 angelfish fry in a 10 gallon tank filled half way. They are about 2 weeks free swimming now and doing great.I have another spawn of fry from a different pair that just became free swimmers today. Can I put them in the tank with the 2 week olds? Will they eat them?

Likely not at that size, however,,,they larger ones will out compete the newly free swimming fry for the food......for a bit anyway...if you have another small tank..use it...if not, just make sure everyone gets some chow.....got a partition??...fill the 10 and us both sides...even a foam divider will work...another suggestion...move the older fry to a 20 gal..then use the 10 for....yada yada...

I would not mix spawns 2 weeks apart. The older will eat the younger ones. I have made that mistake before.

I guess err on the side of caution is called for then.....never had em chow here, but I guess it could happen...

I had spawns about 10 days apart I put together once. Took only a couple of days for the 50 older ones to chow down on the 300 new free swimmers. I have never mixed spawns more than a week apart until pea sized again.
