Here's an alternative and a great way to learn how to use a punnett square to predict a cross's results. It may look a little intimidating at first but it's a matter of getting used to it. A better way would be to join TAS - you'll get our calculator for free during your membership period.

I hope that you and Damon plan to run for re-election; I'd hate to see all your project efforts lose momentum.

Here's an example that I did between 2 heterozygous Kois. The cross is represented as GgSS x GgSS

Where:

G stands for Gm
g stands for Gold
S strands for Stripeless

The resulting cross genotype ratios are represented by:

Blue squares - Gold Blushings* (Sunset Blushings**)
Green squares - Heterozygous Goldmarble Blushings* (Kois**)
Red squares - Homozygous Goldmarble Blushings* (Kois**)

* Phenotype generic names
** Phenotype trade names
