Hello everyone,
This is my first post here! I have been keeping fish forever, but I'm fairly new to angelfish.
I bought this gem a week ago. He was in a display tank and (I think) being bullied, so the store placed him in the 'for sale' rack, right in front of me.
I think his fins are ok and will grow back. What I'm worried about is the red spot at the base of his fin. Is that normal, part of the 'blushing' strand or the start of a bacterial infection? It hasn't changed in a week but Ive seen red fin bases in goldfish and it quickly got worse and required treatment.
He is in a 90g tank with 5 (smaller) buddies and 20 or so small tetra (too big to eat no worries)
Thank you for your guidance
