    Vértebra 29

    Es la última vértebra de la espina dorsal, conocida como Vértebra Ural e incluso Urostilo.

    Su forma es diferente a las vértebras anteriores, en ella acaba la Notocorda, posee una formación ósea orientada oblicuamente hacia la parte superior. Sirve de soporte a las placas Hipurales y Uroneurales.

    Algunos autores no cuentan a esta última pieza ósea como vértebra, sin embargo considero que vista la llegada de la Notocorda y las funciones que desempeña debe ser considerada como tal.
