I tried to feed my almost one month old angelfish fry ground up flake food, but they will not swim to the top.How long should I feed them microworms? They spend all thier time swimming around the bottom.

Take a small pinch of flake food between two fingers.......put your fingers/food under the top surface about an inch...then rub your fingers together crushing the flake while releasing it......watch em go for it....;-)

Alternatively, crush some flakes finely (I use a coffee grinder which I use solely for this purpose) and soak in a tbsp of water for 30 sec. Do not stir or it will end up emulsified. Feed by immersing the entire spoon so it doesn't float to the surface. Another alternative is when you feed brine shrimp, suck up some finely ground flakes and feed together.
Thanks.I tried both of those suggestions, but they just dont come to the top when feeding and even when it sinks in front of them, they dont eat the flakes. How long can I continue to give them microworms?
till they eat flake....try bbs too....besides just the micro worms.....and keep try'n the crushed flake at first feeding in the AM...they're hungriest then....
