Black Lace
Half-black
Non-wild
alleles that interact to form this phenotype:
Dark (D),
Half-black (h)
A black lace
half-black is a half-black angelfish with one dose of the dark allele.
The phenotype is:
D/+ - h/h.
Half-black
is a recessive trait, so the angelfish must be homozygous (double dose)
for the half-black trait (h/h) to create this phenotype. Even when
present in double dose, the half-black trait does not always express. If
the half-black trait does not express, the angelfish will look like a
black lace.
