Chocolate Blushing
Multiple Locus Phenotype

Non-wild alleles that interact to form this phenotype:
Smokey (Sm), Stripeless (S)

 Chocolate Blushing

A chocolate blushing angelfish will exhibit a pink circular area in the gills as a fry and young juvenile.  The fins do not have any horizontal striations, and the tail will have a smooth appearance, with no lace patterning. The chocolate blushing phenotype is homozygous (double dose) for both the smokey trait and the stripless trait, and has the following genotype:

Sm/Sm - S/S

Approved by The Angelfish Society Standards Committee on March 11, 2007.
