Chocolate
Lace
Non-wild
alleles that interact to form this phenotype:
Dark (D), Smokey
(Sm)
A
chocolate lace is a chocolate (Sm/Sm) with the addition of one dark
allele. It has darker coloration than in a chocolate, but not as dark as
in a chocolate black. The dark allele also darkens the lace patterning of
the tail, making it stand out more distinctly. The genotype of a
chocolate lace is:
D/+
- Sm/Sm
