A smokey
leopard black is a double dark black or hybrid black angelfish with either
one ore two zebra alleles and one smokey allele. Possible genotypes are:
D/D – Z/+ -
Sm/+
D/D – Z/Z – Sm/+
D/Gm – Z/+ - Sm/+
D/Gm – Z/Z - Sm/+
D/g – Z/+ - Sm/+
D/g – Z/Z - Sm/+
Smokey
Leopard Black Ghost
Smokey leopard black ghost is a smokey leopard black with the addition of
one stripeless allele, and has one of the following genotypes.
D/+ – Z/S -
Sm/+
D/D – Z/S - Sm/+
D/Gm – Z/S - Sm/+
D/g – Z/S - Sm/+
None of the
leopard varieties of angelfish can be blushing. Two stripeless alleles
are required to form a blushing angelfish. Leopard varieties require at
least one zebra allele, and since zebra and stripeless act as alleles of
each other, there is only room for one stripeless allele.
