Turqouise
Blushing
Multiple Locus Phenotype
Non-wild
alleles that interact to form this phenotype:
Dark (D), Stripeless
(S)

The turquoise
phenotype results from the addition of two stripeless alleles to a black
lace. It has the genotype:
D/+ - S/S.
The
turquoise blushing phenotype has a homozygous (double dose) of the
stripeless trait that gives this angelfish a blushing appearance in the
gill area when it is young. This double dose of the stripeless trait
prevents the expression of underlying stripes. The turquoise blushing
angelfish also will not have any horizontal striations in the fins or
lacy patterning in the tail.
