Photo Contest

Mission Statement:

The Photo Committee is dedicated to providing fun and fair contests that invite participation from all TAS members with the purpose of presenting the best possible Angelfish photos of representative phenotypes in an effort to create a library of exemplary phenotypes as defined by TAS standards and award the winners with a certificate of achievement.

Chairperson:

Sarah Smith

About every six weeks, a phenotype will be chosen for the photo contest and at the end of the year we will have an overall best photo.  (A Phenotype is the physical appearance of a trait. To be considered a distinct phenotype for this contest the strain should be uniquely identifiable by visual color characteristics. A Genotype is simply the written expression of the genetic makeup of the trait in question.)

The photos can be emailed to the photo committee at TAS Photo contest and will be reviewed to make sure it fits in with the current phenotype contest. Once it is passed, the web site will be updated so that everyone can view the entries. Photos will be posted once the submission deadline expires.

Voting is open to all TAS members in good standing. The preferred method is to use the online ballot. If you have any troubles or question, please email the photo committee at TAS Photo contest.

Note: All ending dates are at midnight Central Time.

Good Luck to all and start perfecting those angel Photos now. This year we will be awarding gift certificates to some awesome, on line fish supply site & you will be choosing your own prize!  Your Photo Committee, Sarah Smith
